Default Mixing packages...

Hey
I've been reading the forum for a while but just joined recently

I am looking to ditch my 07 and order a new one, Likly will wait for the 16

My question is mixing the packages, for example On a lariet I would want the sport package (to give the "carbon fiber" panels rather then the fake wood panels on the inside but I don't want the painted front and rear bumpers I want the chrome ones,
Same with the grill, I like the 5 bar grill rather then the 3 bar that comes with the lariet chrome package.
If I was to go into the dealer to build are they able to make those changes.

I've test drove a couple but just started to put the pcs together to start to build one, I haven't talked to a dealer about building because I don't want to lead the sales people on until I'm ready

Thanks
David

No, mixing packages is not an option, trading or buying the options you want is the only way.

Ford does not follow the Burger King philosophy. We don't get it our way. We get it their way.

Do a Google search for the ordering guide for the 2015 F-150 to see what your options are.

I have a Lariat and since I don't like chrome I ordered the sport appearance package so that everything is either body color (blue flame) or the dark anthracite. And then I ordered the FX-4 package which is now just skid plates and shocks instead of being a stand-alone version of the F-150 like it was in previous years.

There are some options and colors that you can't get on certain models. Check the guide to see what goes with what.

I bought an XLT Sport and mixed and matched a few things that I liked from different trim levels. I have the PTM mirrors that a Lariat/KR have, but the Platinum grille and wheels. Also the power boards like the KR/Platinum have. Cloth interior but I'm happier with cloth.

All of this was done after I purchased the truck, since you git what you git and you don't throw a fit.

Different parts are easy to find and you can oftentimes sell the part that you replaced. I sold my XLT Sport wheels and tires, in the process of selling the sport running boards and I can probably off load the XLT Sport grille. I won't recover all of the costs but that's the price you pay when doing these things.
