Default Mirrors Adjusting In When Using Keypad

On the rare occasion I use my keypad, both my mirrors (glass) tilt all the way in. I've cleared the my personal code and had them adjusted to my liking and they keep adjusting all the way in, the seat stays where I have it set to.

When I get in the truck I just have to hit the 1 button and the mirrors adjust to the proper setting.

Just curious what I'm doing wrong.- Thanks

Might be the key fob you're using.

Sounds like you have a memory position saved and when you enter the code it reverts it back. Try saving your position in memory and associate that memory position with the code you're using.

I've tried that and still mirrors adjust in. I'm the only one who drives it (wife loves her Explorer, which have no problems on presets with mirrors) and only use 1 of the presets and just in case I cleared all 3 memory buttons and it still has its mind made up to send the miirrors all the way in.

Try saving your settings (which I assume you have saved to #1) to #2 and #3 as well since you are the only one who drives the truck.

When I got my truck I only had preset #1 set and the others were empty because I'm the only driver. If I would accidentally bump button #2 or #3 my mirrors would do the same thing. They would go all the way in and click like they were trying to go further in than they could go. I read on this site to program the other memory numbers so that they weren't just empty, and boom my problem was gone.

Thanks TX150, that was the fix, took me longer to put my shoes on than fix the problem. I just used #2 preset to start and that did the trick, apparently the keypad and presets don't like only 1 being used.
