So I ordered the blendmount and what arrives is a blendmount for a dash cam with a thermal printed product label slapped over the packaging that says it is for the max 360. Someone was asleep at the wheel that day. New arrival with hopefully the correct item is for Monday.
$140 for a radar mount?!?!?!?! it does look slick but i couldnt justify that so i made my own for about $5.00. Tell me what you think?
Its super easy to make, go to the home depot cabinet section and find a small L bracket(for the top part that mounts to your mirror). Get a T Bar piece and use the pre dirlled holes to mount the L to this. Take your factory radar mount and bolt this to the T bracket. Spray paint black and then use a ring clamp to mount to mirror and Voila you just saved $135 and have become a mans man because you made this lol It looks a bit ugly up close but trust me you wont notice this because its all behind the mirror. This was my first attempt and it worked so i left it as is but you can totally clean this up if you wanted with some smaller washers

Ok just did the mirror tap on my 18 Limited and it went very smooth: The Black wire is your (HOT) and the Green is the (GROUND) and it comes on when you turn the truck on and Off when truck is off!! The detector DOES NOT go off when you go into reverse as I have heard around here, at least not mine!!
I got my Uniden mounted with the Blendmount today. Very nice mount looks awesome. I am going to try to tap the mirror tomorrow. My connector is the same as icecoldak. I have a 18 King Ranch.
