Better is a good start, Langway4; let's see what I can do to help. How many miles are on your truck currently?

Have you had the dealer check out the shake you're experiencing, overlandf150? What's the current mileage on your rig?

IIRC if you have power folding mirrors the manual talks about the mirrors shaking. If they do this, reset the mirrors by using the power folding feature to fold them in then out, you might hear a loud clunk as the mechanism goes back into place where it should be.

I will be taking the truck in for transmission issues this Friday and will have them look at it then! Truck has 1200 miles! Been doing it since new!

Thanks!

Go ahead and PM me your VIN, best daytime phone number, full name, and dealer name/location. I'll check out some options.

I have the standard mirrors with the blindspot system. My passenger mirror is solid, the drivers side shakes when you hit bumps and pick up speed. At highway speeds with a little headwind its the worst. I have power folded the mirrors several times and it does not reset the mirror. Took the truck in for oil change and told the service advisor the issue. He said I was not the first to complain (several have he said) about it and that they checked again that morning for any fixes from Ford. As of last week there was no "fix" from Ford. I hope they address it soon.

I wonder what really makes the driver side different from the passenger side?

If you look close at the black casing around the mirror, you can notice a difference. I think the reason is the passenger side mirror has a bit of convex to it where the drivers side does not.

I have a 2015 F150 I bought from Jones Ford in SC in April. With 300 miles on it I took it in due to the drivers side mirror shaking and making a wind/rattling noise anywhere above 40 mph. As above from other owners the passenger mirror does not appear to shake at all and seems fine. The dealer replaced the drivers side mirror, which was even worse than the first mirror the vehicle came with as far as shaking. The 3rd time I dropped the vehicle off the service director exclaimed that it is a "characteristic of the truck." This I do not believe and asked if he had any other solutions and suggested I try another dealer if I really thought I had something here. To me having this mirror shake to where you can barely make out cars behind you is unacceptable, not to mention on a very $$$ truck. Ford please help here and provide some sort of solution. I love this truck but the mirror shake/noise is driving me insane.

I just picked my truck up from the dealer for the same issue described in this thread. This is my third mirror and the worst one yet. The dealership is happy to replace it each time that I go, but there is obviously a serious manufacturing issue. Can the Ford reps on this forum confirm that Ford engineering is aware of this issue and are trying to get it fixed?

My mirror is scheduled to get replaced tomorrow. I had to bring the truck back in no less than 3 separate times to get additional pictures/documentation because Ford wanted more information on it before they'd ship out the new mirror. So I think they know it's a problem, but honestly have no idea what's causing it.
