LOL Bob some people just don't get a joke. Me personally would try to find a nice 14 with low miles. Probably get a better deal and a better truck.

Got my 2015 SCrew with 6" bed used, 11,500 miles. It's basically a new truck. Personally, for trucks, I'd have to think really hard about buying new. The first few years they take a relatively large hit in depreciation. You could find a year old truck with low mileage and save around $10000. That'll eat up that negative equity in no time.

If you have that much negative equity, buy new. If you have a good sum of cash to be putting down in addition to your trade, then buy used. The cash will help offset your negative. If you are only trading in, buy new. With the rebates Ford is offering, which just changed this morning for Labor Day no longer, you'll much more easily bury the negative.

Good luck.

That's one short bed.

BIL just bought a used 2015 loaded screw lariat FX4 with 20k miles for $41k. Seems high to me, but he is happy.

+1

Every used 2015 and 2016 around here has at least 4-6k miles and is about $2k cheaper than brand new. At that point why not spend the extra money and get it knowing it's brand new and never abused?

I have noticed that,,,,, but doesn't stop me from trying!

Remember mine is a first edition 2015 a rare collectors truck so it's going to keep going up in value..
