On my 2011 Edge the speed limit shows in the panel where the speedometer is, I was hoping that this update would put the speed limit beside the compass reading in this area.

There is a retrofit in the works, if you don't mind spending $2000. The company may buy back your original unit to offset the cost. It's in development but the site shows late 2015 availability.

To activate Siri, press and hold the VOICE button (on the steering wheel) for 3 seconds. Siri will respond through SYNC as if it were your phone.
I'm going to throw a little salt in the wound. Yesterday I purchased a 2016 Focus ST with Sync3. A huge improvement over MyFord Touch. The responsiveness is unbelievable. The only glitch I encountered was when pairing my iPhone 6s+ it locked up the whole system. After shutting the car down it reset and worked fine. Same thing happened when I tried pairing my phone on a different car with Sync3. Carry on
Glad you're enjoying SYNC 3!
SYNC 3 has new hardware and software. It's not available as an aftermarket installation through Ford.
Not exactly what I was hoping for, but better then before. The speed limit now shows when the Navigation is displayed in the center display.
On my 2011 Edge the speed limit shows in the panel where the speedometer is, I was hoping that this update would put the speed limit beside the compass reading in this area.

Just updated mine this morning, All went well
I am in Canada, cannot do the health report thing here. So Canadian's do not worry about that part at all.
But the rest work fine,
File 3 of 14 is the longest one, had me a tad worried / but not too much , its like it was frozen taking its sweet time. (several minutes) rest are pretty quick
Just drag the 1 main file folder to usb, once unzipped. it will also bring the 2 other sub folders with it, on its own.
Pretty straight forward and not too complicated.
Just follow the steps given, and anyone can prob do this.
Do not remove until the Sync lady speaks at the end confirming completion.
All in all about 20 - 25 min I guess.
Had a bit of issue on the report back, but figured that out. I tried to open the file, windows was looking to open the file, but cannot. it is only insert file on ford website and click send.
Time to add some new wallpapers re-pair the phone to system and update my usb with some more music.
Will see from there how much different or quicker it is.

So far I have updated 7 vehicles across multiple platforms: F150, F250, etc. Most vehicles were running version 3.7 or 3.7.11. Navigation versions were either A5 or A6. All have updates have gone successfully without a hitch.
I have learned, just as was stated earlier, that you can update Ford's database by running a Health Report after updating Sync.
Although I am not an I-Phone user, those drivers that are like the latest update

I called Ford today about my Raptor's identity crisis. (After the 3.8 sync update MFT displays Lincoln Presidential instead of SVT Raptor at start). They are aware of the problem but could give no time frame to fix it. I'll have to live with my truck thinking it is a Lincoln for awhile. If you have a Raptor you may not want to update yet.
Update: Thanks to Jason, this is fixed. No more identity crisis. Thanks for the quick fix.
