So you take it to a ford dealer to do oil changes? I could see them doing this to your truck.

He just bought the truck used and is doing his first oil change when he came across the damaged plastic plug. We don't know if the previous owner, speedy-lube joint, or a Ford tech did the previous oil changes.

“ford sucks” and “dealers suck” are just canned responses from him no matter what the topic is

What a cheap setup, you mean anyone could get under there without a wrench and drain the oil?
I guess you cant replace it with a metal plug by the looks of the thread?
Give me a metal magnetized plug any day.

You could replace it with a Ronin drain plug that requires a special tool to open the drain if that is a concern, but it would take the same effort with a regular plug by just using a common crescent wrench if someone was really mean by draining your engine oil for you. Lot less effort than the guys stealing catalytic converters but the catalytic converter thefts are much more rampant than hoodlums pulling oil drain plugs.

The drain plug is plastic. The o-ring seals fine.

The sump is composite. Although some have had them leak at the seal, mine did in year 2, the TSB fixed mine permanently.

Youd have to take off the underbelly diaper pan to access the drain plug. That would be more work than just loosening a standard metal plug. That’s the last thing I’d be concerned with.
