I went out to the cottage with my friend in his new Platinum...LEDs didn't lighten up roadway anywhere near as good as HIDs. Almost felt too concentrated up front with little or nothing in terms of distance lighting.

He said similar to the 09-14' f150, I can see it a bit but not a blatant copy

Ha-ha, they light the way quite well at NIGHT, for my liking.

They aren't comparable to my 1,000,000 candle power spotlight, but they are hands down better than what I'm used too... That being said, I had a 02 Superduty, that I put in Silverstars, which still weren't gr8. So, in my case, they are considerably better than what I'm used too. Never thought I had low stds. But perhaps I do and didn't know it!

The Titan looks a lot more modern than the Ford.
I'm starting to dislike this new ford f150 body. I was impartial to it when it came out but now its wearing thin.
Hopefully Ford can spruce it up like they did in 2013 and 2014 with those model years.

I'm ford all day, silverado/sierra for second. I don't hate the new Titan I don't like it either I really don't like how they proportioned the face, huge grill/lights, tiny bumper.. Nissan is cool though, I had a maxima '12 and a armada 08. I like the new murano. and maxima. I feel like that new Titan face will go well with the armada, if they come out. To this day, all brands up front, remove the badges and I'll still tell you the f150 is the nicest in design. GM just dropped their new faces after only 2 years, of course biting a few things off f150 like the tailgate assist, and still don't think their new designs are better than f150

I wouldn't be surprised if Ford didn't do a bit of a facial makeover as well in 2017 0r 2018...grille and light related.

I really wanted to like the new Titan XD, but there's a couple of things that I probably can't get over:

1) It weighs 7360 lbs, or approximately the weight of an F150 + a Mazda Miata strapped to its back.
2) It does 0-60 in 9.2 seconds--more than three seconds longer than my F150.

I understand that it's considered a more 'capable' vehicle than the F150, but I don't think it would serve my purposes as well as the Ford.

I was close to waiting for the new Titan to come out. Before I bought the Ford, I had my 2007 6-speed manual Nissan Xterra OffRoad for sale in February last year. 240,000 KM's and the only issue I ever had was a punctured radiator from a rock on the highway. I went to the Nissan dealership to buy new floormats before selling and a salesman noticed the "For Sale - $9000" sign on the side of my Xterra. He said he would give me $9000 as a trade-in if I get a Titan and he offered a pretty amazing deal on a fully loaded truck. At the time though, the new look wasn't out yet and I HATED the old look.

He showed me a pic of the 2016 and I was tempted to wait, but I was already building F-150's and whatnot on the website. Sometimes when I see pics I feel like I should have waited, but at the same time I'm glad I went with my 2.7 F-150 because I think it would destroy the Titan for fuel economy. I do really like the look of the new Titan though, and if it would have also had a 2-panel moonroof things might have been different, but it has a little one. I love the Ford's giant moonroof!

Despite the additional weight, the Titan XD has no increase in payload, with a 2000 pound maximum. It is not a "more capable" vehicle, especially compared to F150 Heavy Duty Payload Package. Local dealer's first Titan XD has a $61,610 sticker price.

And.... even Toyota has stolen the indented look of the F150 tailgate!
