Default Master Cylinder issues

Anyone have any issues with their master cylinder? I got a buddy who recently picked up a 2016 XLT and was on vacation in Nova Scotia and the MC went south. I heard through a mutual friend that there there may be a recall on the master cylinder [not confirmed through my buddy] but I didn't see anything listed above so I thought I'd ask here.

I read both threads, folks pretty much discounted the OP's claims. My buddy is a pretty stand up guy, on vacation with his family when this happened. Took the local dealership a week to get the back ordered MC. The truck is a 2016 XLT he's had it about two months.

Default Hear we go again.....

Not all of the time but very often...........

It`s very funny and odd that someone who has an issue with their new F-150, and in this case, it`s the most important system on a car, it`s always a buddy, friend, or relative who comes on here to tell other members about it.

Are they doing this out of their concern for their buddy, friend, or relative?

I really doubt it and this master cylinder problem posting is a continuation of the brake failure posting that fellow members as well as myself replied to a few days ago.

As I said in my previous reply to the other posting, show us the paperwork and i`ll be the first to apologize.

With that being said, i`m calling on this and just like a fellow member stated on the other posting, you`re really a sick individual to post stuff like this and you really need to get a life.

The NHTSA already has 9 or 10 2016 f150 reports of brake failure all but one of them include a vin number. They only have 56 reports total of all 2016 f150 issues.

I'm not saying the 2016 definitely has a brake issue but its possible and worth keeping an eye on.

Some of these posters may be full of it,,,,, but I'm not going to immediately disregard all of them. Especially considering the M/C recall on the earlier trucks .

So says the tool with only 8 posts. My question was simple, is anyone aware of an issue with the master cylinders on 2015/2016 F150's? If you have nothing to contribute, keep yer phucking comments to yourself. The reason why I'm asking? I have a 2015 and I would like to know if this is a concern.

Jeffery, try the search feature. This is the third or fourth recent thread about brake failure.

Thanks, I'll try to follow up with my friend, he's on his way home from Nova Scotia to Jersey. should be back in the next day or so [truck was repaired yesterday]. I got a text from him where he said that there was a recall. I didn't see any notice here so this is the reason for my original question.

I did, there are three, including this one. The other two discounted the OP's claim. Other than the original claims, there wasn't any useful information. Just a lot of accusations that the OP's were troling.

I just got another text from him. He said the pedal went to the floor when braking into a turn at 70mph. It pumped up but remained soft for the next day so he took it to a local Nova Scotia dealer. Service manager said there was a recall, so they replaced it. It took a little under a week to get a new MC. Fortunately he got a rental so it only ate into a day or so of his vacation.

I asked if he knew anything more about the recall, he didn't ask.

Default Why so angry Jeffery?

I had no idea fellow members have to make a certain number of replies to a posting in order to keep another member from calling them a "tool" or to keep them from using profanity towards them to get their point across.

Jeffery, by stooping to that level, you`ve shown me and other members that my observation and reply to this brake issue that your buddy supposedly had doesn`t pass the smell test.

As i`ve said before, show us the paperwork and i`ll be the first to apologize to your buddy who`s not even on here.
