I just updated my maps in the navigation system. The system does not show my street. There was an old name, but it changed three years ago. On any other system where I search, my house shows up. Ford system just shows that I am off roading. Why doesn't this system show my road?

 

You would be best suited to contact Ford Customer Service with that question.

My answer - map data is provided by a 3rd party. If that 3rd party doesn’t have updated data for your street, it won’t end up in the updates.

This. And just FYI, heard this same problem with a few other manufacturers (like GM most recently) so unfortunately it isn’t just a Ford thing.

 

Where did you get your map update? Ford gets its map data from HERE.

What version of navigation do you have?

 

HERE Maps is who supplies ford. A connector road in my neighborhood that has been there since 2013 was missing on the Ford maps. I had created an account on HERE map creator and submitted the section of road to them. It finally showed up on the newest map update that just came out.

Use Android Auto or Apple carplay then use Waze or Google Maps those are always up to date. Ford Maps updates like never.

 

My travel link magically fixed itself last night. All is good.

 

I have a Gamin Dash Cam, that I use for directions, when it really counts that I want to be accurate to get there. Can't trust Ford... it took until 2019 for them to have available Map Updates for our 2016's, and even then, they were 2017 Maps - and I have to do the USB thing to do the updates. My Garmin updates maps every quarter, automatically, for free, when it is in reach of my Home or Work WiFi connection. Currently 2022.10
