I previously had a borla 40359 installed on my 5.0.. I took it off and went back to stock because of drone. It was especially bad lugging between 1500-2200 rpm.. which when pulling a trailer it was droning all the time. How is the drone at cruising rpm and when pulling? My perfect exhaust would be close to silent at cruise and a nice rumble at wot.. thanks!

I'm not saying you don't have drone but my 12249 magnaflow has zero drone at any speed or rpm.

gotcha.
This is probably a good move.
I switched to 3" piping to mate w the exhaust inlet. This is probably why theres a bit of light drone. Nothing intolerable. It burbles as I drive so I am still loving it. Possibly 5hp gain for my buttdyno on the higher rpms (maybe who knows).

I took the resonator off and put back the stock exhaust in december since I was visiting the inlaws. (Long drive) It has a bit more noise but not much. That stock muffler does its job real well! Since then, I have been busy making some other new additions - to the car and to the family (new baby) so I didnt put the magnaflow back on just yet. Maybe this summer, Ill put the muffler back on. Likely with the resonator too. Someone recommended this maybe ill try that instead of the stock resonator.

I have the 12449 on my 2016 5.0. At first I did notice some drone, but it has either gone away or I've gotten used to it. Either way, I like it now... alot.
I'm having issues with my engine rpms sometimes fluctuating at lower rpms... usually if I was idling through a parking lot shortly after startup.
I don't think this is related to the muffer, but my dealer said it didn't throw any codes and it's probably related to the muffler causing low back pressure. My mpgs are pretty bad too.
Has anyone else experienced this?
