You're in CA and its getting cold out, your engine bay can be nice and warm for a rodent to pitch a tent and have a snack. ha

Haha ya that looks pretty similar so I’m sure that’s probably what it is.

Thanks for all the help guys. I was able to strip the wires back and solder them back together, heat shrink and bada boom good as new.

check your other wires as there may be more issues.
Dont want your BCM to have chewed wires.

Ya I’ll have a good look around. I’m still going to grab a pigtail but this keeps me going until I get it.

Look at all the tiny muddy footprints on the black plastic in your engine bay.

Looked like cat prints. Why it wants to eat your wires I don't know.
