Default Lug Nuts some help please

Hi I have a 2017 XLT with the sport package and 302A. I wanted to swap out my chrome lug nuts for black ones. From what I can gather it uses a M14-1.5 nut whith what looks like an acorn seat. I looked on eBay and they list such a nut but say it does not work with OEM wheels? Any idea why. Here is a picture of my current lug nut. The guy I talked to said I have to use ford lug nuts? Confused.

Thanks
Geo

How about a link of the product your actually referring to? That thread pitch is correct and you'll want a conical seat like you stated.

Here is what I was looking at. They said they won't work on the F150?

Speculating from the pics two possible reasons no OEM wheels:

1. Less contact area on the at the angled portion putting too much pressure on stock wheel at the same torque;

2. Material of those nuts might cause galvanic corrosion of the stock aluminum wheel.

I couldn't see where it said they didn't fit either. They didn't even list Ford like GM and others as being incompatible.

I thought we'd hear from the OP by now, but as I see it, it says 2015, but not 2017. I admit I know less than any of you on the variations over that time (still the same basic truck, I believe). It seems by now, they would list 2016 or 2017, but it doesn't. It says contact them if it's not listed. Maybe he has contacted someone who told them this meaning we wouldn't see anything listed, but someone did tell him that. Having said all that, is there a difference in the 15 and 17 model OEM wheel designs?

Why dont you just line them all up on a foam board and paint them all black?
Save yourself the hassle...lug nuts all take a beating anyway...just re shoot them every few years.

Flat black - semi gloss...gloss black...whatever you want.

Its just that easy!

15-17 all fit the same. Actually I believe that includes the 14's as well.

Sorry was driving to work. I emailed them and they responded that they do not sell any lugs that work with OEM F150 wheels. But I did see that their website shows they do. I was just confused as to why they say they won't work. I sent another email but haven't heard back yet. Thank you everyone for the responses.
