Default Lug nuts

Lug nuts swelling on 2018 f150. Was unable to get socket on without a hammer. Using over sized socket just deformed them more. Decided to replace all of them after finding out from NAPA that this is a common problem with Ford across their entire line. Replaced them with solid chrome coated ones. Anyone else have this problem?

I don't know if your post is serious as this is a common complaint for every Ford Vehicle for abut 30 years. If you take 3 minutes to search "lug nuts" you'll find 142 threads with "what nuts fix the factory junk". LOL
According to a local tire shop, a few manufacturers are guilty of this, but only Ford has a class action suit' against them. Their words, not mine.

Interesting. Thanks for the info, I’ve owned Honda’s since the mid 90’s. One of which is 20 years old. Never before had a problem with lug nuts. Figures. I’ll just add this to the growing list......transmission clunk, oil consumption, vct noise, lug nuts.

The only time I've had "swollen" lug nuts is after the jerk at the tire shop used a 12 pt socket and didn't have it fully home before pulling the trigger on the impact wrench. They were damaged not swollen. I cut them in half and sure enough no corrosion. Owning Fords since 2002. And live in the salt spreading state of Ill.

Yep, same here. Drinks oil, transmission clunks, lug nuts are junk. I fixed the nuts with some Gorilla ones. The oil is only 1 quart every 2k or so, no big deal. The noises, I just installed aftermarket exhaust to enjoy the V-8 sounds over and above any strange noises lol...
