This is probably a stupid question, but what lug nuts were stock on the gray 6 spoke FX4 wheels? I recently bought some that were take offs, but thought my current chrome lug nuts would look kind of weird on the gray wheels. I called the dealership and the guy said they only had chrome. Is that all they used?

 

unless the selling dealer changed them, the same crappy chrome capped junk was used on all of the trucks.

 

I assume those are the REAL FX4 trim wheels from a pre-2014 F150. The seat is the same as the 15+ wheels, the thread pitch is different though and the only lugs used where chrome. Maybe Gorilla has black lugs in the correct size and seat.

What is the size of the lug nuts for a 2016 F150, Lariat with 20 inch wheels? Looking to get the right size socket. I'm guessing about a 21mm but want to make sure.

 

depends how swollen they've become.

21 mm is the correct specified size for the lug nuts. A 13/16" socket will also fit (just slightly tighter fit than the 21 mm). Either size should work on nuts that have not been damaged by using an impact tool to remove/install them. The most important thing I have found is that the socket should be a 6-point socket rather than a 12-point socket because the contact area is much larger on the 6-point and less likely to do damage if you should use an impact tool.
