Default Lower strut bolt

In case you ever want to remove the studs on your lower strut. I went and got m12-1.75x80 bolts and replaced them. I wish I had known to do this when I got my leveling kit. I just had to deal with them again when I got new struts. The process will be so easy if I ever have to remove them again. Getting the strut out with the pressed in stud is just too much hassle. I hope this is helpful to someone.

A metric class 8.8 is the equivalent to grade 5 hardware. A metric class 10.9 is the equivalent to grade 8 hardware.

You're saying the OEM hardware is only the equivalent of grade 5 hardware? I believe all OEM suspension and steering hardware is class 10.9

That's why I asked. Most people don't realize a metric class of hardware is NOT a direct crossover to imperial grade

Great thing about is that it's easy to do. That my only point I was making.

Grade 8 or better, equivalent to the metric standards.
