Default Looking for part

We had an employee decide to rinse the interior of an F-150 with a water hose. The Ford dealer has had the vehicle for months saying they can’t find a part so I asked the department head for the part number. I’ve searched online, Tasca parts, etc and it appears it’s unavailable & discontinued. Any other options? car-part.com or other scrapyard? It appears to be the ac/heat/radio control panel based on the part number.

HL3Z18842AAA

Any ideas?

So these are ordered direct from either AER sales or United Radio through a Ford dealer only platform. I checked both and they appear to either be on backorder or going into obsolescence. The problem with these is they are very specific to each VIN. The same model truck may have 4 or 5 different control faces. So you would have to find one with the same engineering number. The one for that part is HL3T-18E243-AAA.

Truck seems bone stock. Maybe a higher level trim piece would work. Maybe a salvage yard find? Find a yard with your truck basics.

I checked EBay earlier & there’s tons of them but getting the specific model concerned me, especially if it can’t be returned.

As mentioned above, what you need to be looking for is the engineering number on the part. Not the part number the dealership gave you.

The engineering number for the part number you have is HL3T-18E243-AAA, that's the number that will be on the tag, on the part.

If you have the VIN for the vehicle I can double check that for you to be 100% sure it's correct.
