Can anyone steer me in the right direction please? I want to know what I have in my 2015 F150. I read and search for info here but get all frustrated with talk of , My Ford Touch, SYNC 3, Forscan, upgrade this, etc.

Is there a My F 150 for Dummies book out there........

 

2015 will likely have the My ford touch Sync 2 system depending on trim level. Some truck info would be helpful.

If you have a touch screen 8” and your truck is stock you will have My Ford Touch. If you have a 4.2” screen then you will have just sync

Hey Softl,

Since you have a Lariat, then you will have the 8" center screen. You can tell if you have navigation by looking at the right top quadrant of the home screen. If it says "Information" at the top and just shows a compass, then you don't have navigation, as it was optional on the 500A and 501A option groups on the Lariat, and standard on the 502A group. If it says "navigation" in that quadrant, then you have the actually navigation system. Is there a specific question you have about navigation? Maybe I can help since I have it with Sync 2 in both my Explorer and F150.

Yes, I have the navigation screen. I'm trying to learn more about it but the info gets confusing, ie; traffic. Is this an option or an add-on? Another question. Is there a setting on the screen so it will always default to say, the radio, instead of the 4 screen split?

My Bride has a 17 Escape. That radio system is much easier.

You may have thought it was a joke but I am serious. Many owners come on these sites and ask the same questions, but have never even cracked open the manual and after doing so answers their own questions. If you do not have one, they are available online!
