Default Looking for bed cover options

Hey all, Im sure this has been brought up before but Im torn on what to go with. I would prefer a bed cap but my ARE quote is about $3300, and I dont know if I want to go that route. Is ARE that much better than Leer?

My other option is a flat cover. My problem with these is Id like to at least have a low rack installed over the cover, but I prefer the tri fold covers so that I could completely remove the cover if need be.

I wanted to see if you guys know of some good flat covers with rack systems over them and how you like them. Thanks

I would not think twice about it. If in the future you want to take the rack off, you can replace the plastic bed rails and there wont be any sign youve screwed the tracks into the rails. Aluminum so it wont rust either... Ive used this style rack system on my former Ranger, Tacoma, Tundra, and I will copy what @TBondu did to his truck on my F150. It's great having your gear at chest height, vs way up high in the air or attached to a fixed cover. Plus you can pull the rack on and off in literally 10 seconds, and use your rack independently of tonneau cover open / closed.

Ive also seen people mount racks to 'Diamond back bed lids' which i think are hideous but people love them and how strong they are...

the problem with the retrax is 1) its $2000 and 2) the size of the can.
if you have a already too short 5.5' bed, now you are working with a bed thats 5 feet, or less... Even with a 6 foot bed, im not okay with giving up that space.
