Default Looking at a 15 XLT

I currently have a 2012 crew cab xlt. Bought it used with 3,800 miles on it just about 2 years ago. I currently have 66,xxx miles on it. I drive a lot for work. I put new tires on it last April, and thats about it as far as maintenance goes besides the usual oil changes. I'm at a point now where I will need new tires come winter, brakes and I was told my front shock was leaking so who knows with that. So i'm now at a point to where I need to decide if I want to put money into this truck, or start looking for something else.

I came across this... http://www.moontownshipford.net/used...earchDepth=3:7 . 2015 supercrew xlt 2,000 miles for $34,700. To me, that seems like a pretty good deal. Basically a new truck. I'm going to look at it tomorrow or saturday. From what it looks like, it has a 5.5 ft bed? Anyone know if weather tech floor liners for the driver and passenger fit the 15's?

I don't get why anyone would consider paying so much used. Not sure what options you're looking at, but here's what you should be able to pay new:

I bought my truck from them and prices were as advertised plus $150 doc fee.

That truck stickered just under $48k, you could have probably got it new for about $38k + TTL. $34k isn't bad for 2000 miles assuming no damage and very clean. See if they will throw in and ext warranty or some accessories if they won't budge on price.

You could get a brand new one for another grand or two. But you'll take another depreciation hit.

Since you're buying and not leasing, why bother getting a brand new truck when you can put ~$2k worth of tires, brakes, and shocks into your current truck and keep it going?

Yeah, I'm basically going to have to get a deal I couldn't pass up when I go look at this truck. Around Pittsburgh, I can't get a new truck for less than 38 with the options like this. I don't want a XL with vinyl flooring or anything, also I want a super crew.

Your current truck was "almost new" when you bought it. 3,800 miles.

Now two years later it needs some minor maintenance and you want to get rid of it.

same thing is going to happen with the next truck.

An F-150 XLT 4x4 supercrew starts at $41,540 including destination. There are about $4,000 in rebates and you should be able to get an additional $7,000 discount from the dealer putting the price around $30,500.

Obviously you want some options, so add those on top. But paying for options you don't care about really drives up the price. So I'd recommend searching here for the options you want and reaching out to the dealer(s) who have the right truck:

http://www.inventory.ford.com/dealer...oryType=Radius

You can drag the distance filter all the way out to 200 miles.
