Long trips
Just go to show you have different we are. I've lot track of how many complaints I've read about how uncomfortable the later model F-150's are. I've got arthritis fairly bad and find my 2018 pretty comfortable on a long trip as well.
We used to take the SUV(s) on our road trips because of the speed and comfort. Since getting my then 13 and now 15 supercrew, it is the only road tripping car. So much room in the back for the kids that they don't touch, all types of power for electronics, 36 gallon tank even at 17 mpg is much better than 21 mpg at 21 gallon tank in the SUV's, tonneau cove allow us to just load the back up without scientifically packing. All the other features we have on our SUV's and cars so that is a moot point
I'm in the same boat; done a few 'Atlanta n' Back' day trips in mine from central KY. 800-900 miles round trip. If it had a porta-potty built in, it'd be just about perfect for the long cruises. Adaptive cruise control, massaging/cooled seats, some good tunes and a metric crap ton of pieces/parts in the bed. Smooth sailing.
I love driving this thing on long trips and we take it everywhere, which explains how I am about to hit 20k miles in just over a year. Prior to leveling the truck, I could get 21-22mpg on the highway but now I can barely top 19mpg on the highway but I'm not too worried about it.
My wife drives a Toyota Highlander Limited, which is a fairly decent ride. We NEVER take it on any kind of trip. We always take the truck. There is very little,
if any, difference in the fuel mileage and in my opinion the truck is more comfortable. The wife liked the 2012 5.0 157" Lariat I had over the current 2016 2.7 157" Lariat. She feels like it rode better. I agree.

My wife has a 14 Outback and we can get about 26-27mpg on the highway compared to 19mpg in the truck, and we still don't take the Outback anywhere. I'm 6'3" so it's not the most comfortable vehicle for long road trips.
I have the same tires as you. i set my cold PSI around 37-38 and on a long trip it rises to 39-40
