Once again here is the link for the lugs. Notice the part number and the packaging.

Amazon Amazon

Attached is a picture of what I received. Same part number but different packaging. It is possible that it is the same product with different packaging, but the warranty difference is the concern. Lifetime versus one year.

Heard back from Gorilla. All is good.

Here is the email response I received.

I apologize for any confusion, please allow me to explain.

We are in the process of removing some lug nut styles from our "lifetime lug
nut" classification, and part of that process is to change the packaging.
Nothing has changed about the quality or style of that part number since its
origin, so you received the product we discussed.

What we will do in the future is have a "stop date" where product purchased
after a set date will no longer receive the lifetime warranty. Until that
point your proof of purchase showing a purchase date prior to that stop date
will still receive our lifetime warranty coverage against manufacturer
defects.

Again I apologize for the confusion, please let me know if you have any
other questions.

Got all my lugs replaced. The only issue I had was with the OEM lugs getting stuck in the socket. Had to grip a couple of them in a vise to get them out. The Gorilla had no problem releasing the socket. Would have been a bitch had I been on the side of the road with a stuck socket.

Lol, ordered up from Amazon the 61147CX and I had to call Gorilla to see what I got.
1st they came in 2 different packages(see pic) and then the stamp on the lug is 61148CX
So, Gorilla says they are the same lug not. Said the 48CX is for bulk vs the 4 pack and should not have been sold in the 4 pack. Anyway the different packaging. The lifetime uses the exact same manufacturing process, just they decided to drop the lifetime warranty on them and continue to sell the same nut under a new label.. he said most current package is without the lifetime.
