Default Locking Lugs

I am looking to put locking lugs on my truck as the wheels are steal worthy. Asking advice as the current lugs have a taper5ed end on them and most locking lugs do not. What issues will I face if I do not have tapered ends on the lug?

Thank you.

I've had these for 2 1/2 years with no issues. They fit perfectly.

From what I hear the OE lugs are your best defense against theft.

LKN, are the factory the ball or cone seat? I believe they are ball as the factory nuts have the flare. Thank you for the info too.

They are referenced as "bulge" style seats.

Sorry for the delay, I am not sure about ball seat or cone seat terminology, but these are the exact locks that I purchased.

Haha yeah. Just go to walmart and get a tire rotation. Permanent wheels!

Based on the appearance of the seat, those do not appear to be bulge style seats. You would probably be OK with the smaller seating surface on only that one lugnut. That said, I would probably get the correct seat lugnuts. But that's the engineer and 34 years working in Quality Management in me speaking.
