Default Locking electronic tailgate

So I have a new King Ranch with the electronic tailgate. This morning I went to put the tags on it and found the tailgate down. I may have accidentally hit the button and lowered it when I got home last night, but we have also had incidents of theft in the neighborhood.

How owe do I lock the tailgate shut? No keyhole, so no manual lock. The manual is total crap for this. Doesn’t even show the remote and what the buttons do.

Any my help would be appreciated.
Dan

Lock you truck with the lock button on the key fob, and then go put the key somewhere a ways away (like the other side of the house. Now try to open the tailgate, it should be locked.

Disclaimer: my lowly XLT has neither the electronic release nor the proximity unlocking stuff; just info I've picked up,

actually disregard the question. I figured it out. Operator head space error. Or a 1D10T error.
