Default Lock button on drivers door

Has anyone had trouble locking doors when pressing the black button on the driver's door? I exit the truck and push the button for a couple seconds and nothing. I hear something happening, but doors don't lock. It doesn't do it all the time, just most. Please help.

Mine always locks after touching the button for a fraction of a second. Never had a problem with that... Yet!

You don't push the button, you just touch it if that makes sense. I had the same problem before I figured it out.

Page 67 in the man-well:

"Press and hold the lock sensor area for
about a second to lock your vehicle. To
avoid unlocking the door inadvertently,
make sure you only touch the lock sensor
and not other areas of the door handle.

After locking the doors with the lock
sensor, there is a brief delay before you can
unlock your vehicle. This delay lets you pull
the handle to make sure it locked.

Note: Keep the door handle surface clean
to avoid issues with operation."

UPDATE: I apologize for wasting everyone's time. I realized I was putting my hand into the handle, which was confusing the sensors. As soon as I stopped doing that and just touched the button it locked everytime.

At the other end of this, just remember if you're rinsing your door handle with a hose with the keyfob in your pocket, the truck will unlock and continue to keep unlocking your doors as long as the water is hitting the handle.

Lol I know. The first time I washed my wife's Edge in the hand spray wash with the fob in my pocket the doors kept unlocking and clicking and the running lights were going off and on.

YES! I didnt realize that at first. My neighbor even came over to tell me my running lights kept coming on and off. I considered this after the fact.
