Default Load leveling shocks

Why don’t that make any for this generation? I had originally planned on airbags, but I like the idea of these as an option. Does anyone know the difference in shock length and mounting points for the 09-14 gen vs the 15-20? They make Monroe load leveler shocks for the 09-14 but not ours. So I was wondering if those fit?

Look into the Roadmaster Active Suspension if you don't want to go with airbags.

I’ve seen those.

I really did like the idea of the load leveling shocks though. Has anyone used ones meant for the 12th gen on these trucks?

And I don’t understand why they’re not offered for these trucks.

Ive read they ride just about like stock when unloaded, give about a .5” raise to the rear and definitely help with keeping the truck leveled when towing and hauling. All things that im looking for. Not to mention they’re about $100 and are easy to instal. Though, air bags seem just about as easy. I like the load leveling for the durability standpoint. I feel as though airbags will develop issues later in down the road.

They are very similar size wise, .03 difference of sleeve ID and 1/16 of sleeve OAL, compressed 1.1" difference, travel is 2.6" difference and 1.5" on extended length. I think they could work.

Guinea pig time. Give 'em a try and let us know how they work out.

This is what Monroe sent me as far as differences. Should I worry about the inch difference in length? As in, I’m wondering if they wouldn’t provide as much lift.

They don’t cost a whole lot. I could try and see the fitment and I’m sure return them if they don’t fit and I don’t bang them up.

Compressed is an inch less and extended an inch more. That isn't all that concerning to me.

I might give them a try. If they don’t work I’ll send them back and get air bags.

To be fair, on my old 2wd 2008, I had 3” blocks in the back at one point. Still had the stock 2wd shocks. They must have been stretched out.
