I have a 2017 XLT and I have found a FL3B 3600 FG3ZHE steering wheel locally for a pretty good price. Owner says that its heated but when I look around online I dont see anything stating that for that part number? He said it was from a 2016 Lariat. It should fit my 2017 XLT right? A sticker on the back of his also says "P552 SW LW HT 5WAY AUDIO/SYNC EBONY". Could the "HT" mean heat? I also dont see the smooth leather on the outside of it. ?

Yes Ht stands for heat and smooth leather is higher trims for that year.

Can you guys help me out? My head is spinning looking through all of the threads trying to nail down the correct part number that im looking for. I have a 15 lariat 502a with heated wheel and normal cruise, and I'm looking for the smooth wheel with light gray stitching that is the best bang for the buck. I understand that I can swap my trim and switches, thanks ahead of time.

I read somewhere that if the truck didnt come with a heated steering wheel that an OEM Ford control module of some sort was needed as well as a harness to get a heated steering wheel to work? Is this true and and does anyone have the Ford part number for that control module?

hl3z-3600-gd is the newer leather with 502a controls and lariat wheel trim. Can be ordered for around $200 plus shipping. The leather on it alone will be wayyyy better than what you have on the 15.

Jl3z-3600-vb, about $277 last time I checked, will be the smoother platinum limited wheel.

Any new leather wheel you order will be so much better than what you currently have. The 15-16 leather wheels are horrendous. You could go to a dealership and feel the difference by just climbing in a new XLT.

i have a 2016 fx4 302a, so hl3z-3600 ec. New leather wheel non heated with sync worked for me for $145. The leather on it is way better than I’m used to. Smooth but still feels like a truck plus I couldn’t justify the extra $130 that the new platinum wheel cost.

every part number I listed is grey stitch

hl3z-3600-vb is platinum wheel with tan stitch I believe

Is there a part number for a smooth leather wrapped with heat, sync 3 and regular cruise wheel for my 17 XLT? I will be buying the harness and the module, clock spring from ford. I attached some pics of my current steering wheel and here is a link to the wheel I’m looking at getting., but I just noticed the buttons on the right are different.

the wheel you posted will be the same leather you already have. It will just have heated options.

Hl3z-3600-vb tan stitching $275 ish
jl3z-3600-vb grey stitch $275 ish

hl3z-3600-gd for leather with 502a controls, including heat. $200ish

You will want to repaint your trim piece most likely anyway.
