Default Lights/Blinker issues

Today I noticed my blinker is doing the "fast blink" inside the cab signifying a burned out bulb. I checked and both the front bulbs are working but kinda flickering. I checked the rears and one of the rear bulbs is burned out. Then I recalled that I had a couple people flash me while driving and thought "that's weird, my brights aren't on". Seems like I'm having a few lighting issues, not just one bulb.

As far as I can recall I believe this happened right after I launched my boat for the first time. I'm thinking some water must have caused some issue. I had to go in relatively deep on the ramp for the angle of the boat, but nothing crazy (like around the tail pipe).

Is this a common issue? I'm guessing there's maybe some water somewhere or a short, I'm just wondering where to start to look into troubleshooting. Any ideas? Thanks.

Not common. Look at the trailer connector.

Yep, you got a bad ground at the trailer connection, behind the plug, or the plug itself.

I may be a bit paranoid, but I always unplug my trailer before I drop the boat in the water and plug it back in after I get the boat out.

Ah that's a good idea, I didn't even think of that. I'll do that from now on, thanks.

Probably low blinker fluid. You can get a can at any Ford parts desk.

Dang, beat me to it. Was going to suggest checking blinker fluid. Probably a bit low.

I replaced the bulb and it *seems* to have fixed all my issues. I'm also thinking that perhaps the reason for the flashes from the two or three other drivers coincidentally happened when I was towing so maybe it was the boat pushing down the rear and angling up the lights a bit into drivers eyes? I think I probably just overcomplicated it by combining a few different things at once. Anyway, I guess that's a relief. Thanks all. I also made sure to top off the blinker fluid as well
