Default Lift vs Level Help

I got a 2018 F150 XLT 2WD 2.7L and I was considering a lift or a level. I understand the lift is lifting front and back while the level is just front. I know it’s more of a personal preference, but do yall think I should lift my truck a 2” - 4” or just get the 2.25” level?

I have also done some research and found and it seems that the 2 most popular options for a lift or level are spacers or struts. What’s the major difference and which one would be better for me.

It really is personal preference. What are you planning on doing for tires? That may help point a direction. Leveling struts will give a little better ride quality that spacers, spacers will be cheaper. For my truck I put 2.25 inch leveling struts in the front. I still wanted a little rake, and not as much squatting when pulling a trailer so I also removed the factory rear blocks and installed ones that were 1" taller than factory. I've been super happy with that look. I also run 295/70/18 Tires.

Don't discount a set of lift spindles. Keeps factory angles and ride quality. Room for 35" tires.

Depending on the wheel & tire size you want to run would determine which route to go.

Maxtrac makes full lift spindles. Used them on my 4th gen Ram

Level, Eibach makes a 2WD level coilover, what is what I used and love the ride. I run 295/60/20's

My 2017 RCSB 2wd. Leveled with adjustable coil-overs running 285-70-17 33 inch tall tires. Icon 2.5 CDCV at all corners, SPC UCAs, wider track via 0 offset wheels. intended to handle well turn in fast yet still do limited off road stuff. My truck is as close to a sport car as I can get it and still do trails. This is about 1 inch high at the back bumper, measured 1/2 inch in front of the back wheel to roll pan vs behind the front tire.
A coil-over level at 1.75 inches should have just a bit of a rake with the rear slightly high. More expensive than a puck/spacer level but offering a much better shock absorber.
Levels can also be achieved with lowering the rear, on 4wd a lift block can be removed, 2wd has no block but can lower with drop shackles. Full lifts past 3 inches begin getting complicated. KM

I have actually been wanting to put on the exact same tires you got. Did you have problem with rubbing? what were all the things you had to do to accommodate those tires?

What are lift spindles? Also, I was hoping to put on Toyo Open Country AT III 295/70R18.

Me? If so those are Nitto Terra Grappler G3s 285-70-17 on KMC Pulley 300 17x8 0 offset wheels. Fit is fine and could be larger but 33 inch tall is as much as I want. I do have a level just under 2 inches in front via Icon 2.5 CDCV coil-overs. The 0 offset pushes the tire 1.73 inches out to the fender, I wanted the wider track. I think these would fit on a stock truck. I am very happy with the G3s. the went thru this past WI winter fine, are quiet on the road, have very good traction wet and dry. KM
