Default Lift or Level

I have a 2015 crew cab 5.0 fx4. I have a 6" fabtech basic lift kit sitting in my garage and I also have a leveling kit there as well. I cant decide if I should go ahead with the 6 inch or just level. I have read mixed reviews on the fabtech lift... rough ride quality. I know once I do the 6 inch lift its either got to stay 4" or 6". Can anyone give me some insight on how the fabtech kit really is? I plan to also run a 35" tire on a set of 22x10 wheels. Thanks for any and all infoBTW I only bought the fabtech lift because I got it brand new in the box for over half off retail price.

Go with the lift. I just had a 6" ProComp put on. Still going to add the Fox Coilovers next month so it isn't done yet. You will be happier with a lift in my opinion. But it is really what you want in the end. This is a quick pic I took when I picked it up. We got alot of snow here so I'm going to take more later. Tires are a bit small too (BF Goodrich KO2 285/65/R20 = 34").

Good looking truck. Yeah I definitely like the looks and usability of the 6" lift over the leveling kit. I will more than likely do the lift kit because I must have really wanted to do the lift since I bought it haha. I bought the lift and now I guess I am feeling like the truck is getting molested by letting someone cut some parts off a 50k truck! I guess the search needs to move on now to what wheels and offset on them. I don't mind trimming but I'm not sure I want to cut any of the crash bar off. I want 22 inch wheels and 35 inch tires

You've heard bad things about the lift kit you have, and cannot ever go back once you do it, and it will require you to buy some fox shocks on top of that to make it ride decently....Or put the level on and see if it works with your tire set up, and go from there....

Seems like an easy choice to me, the lift seems like it has a ton of added risk/costs, why not just try the level and then take it off if it doesn't work?

Modification from factory settings all produce unwanted outcomes. Leveling kit's put more stress on CV axles with increased angle's. The only negative I've heard from lifting is loss of turning radius. It's not too often I'm at full lock left/right and Good thing the ProComp comes with a warranty that will replace any/all drive train no questions asked.

I've had both and prefer the lift. For starters I don't have to worry about rubbing or my axles wearing out early because of severe angles. From what I've read is anything over 2" and a lot of max travel of the front will eventually cause the boot or axle to wear out prematurely. All mods are a matter of personal preference. These forums help shape the decisions we make as consumers too.

over two inches on the level and you worry about joints for sure. Those boots are cheaper than a new frame though. My point is, look at the level, see if its enough, if not take it off THEN cut your frame up. OP doesn't seem 100% for either right now, so common sense says you try the one you can remove first.

I know I want to do the 6 inch lift, I love the way the lift looks vs the level kit. I know I will lose some ride quality. I guess if it comes down to it I can do fox coil overs in the front and get the ride back.
