Default Leveling kit installation..

I've put a 2.5" level on my 2006 f150 and also my brothers 13 f150. This started out very nice on the 15. Got every nut off, but could not get upper ball joint apart.. Bring a brand new truck I didn't want to break anything so Ill probably take it somewhere to get this 2 " installed. Very frustrating. What did you guys do, any tricks?

You have to smack the crap out of it. That's the way my taco was.

Hit the side of the spindle where the ball joint stud passes through with a BFH, I use a 5 pounder.

I used a 5 pound sledgehammer. Just a tap from that and it came loose. Lol

You can do that. You can also just unbolt the lower arm at the frame. Prying on the arm will work just be real careful you don't damage the IWE they are fragile.

Most important thing is to be sure you have the axle in the IWE correctly before you tighten the axle nut up or you will break the IWE.

Now I'm sitting here researching and now wondering if 2" will even be enough. I just wanted the truck to be completely level. Being my first new truck I didn't want to cause too much wear with 2.5".
