Default leveling Kit at Ford

I was getting my oil changed today at my local Ford dealership and noticed they offer leveling kits. Installation and tire alignment total cost $360.89 out the door with tax and all.

First off, dealership that offered installing leveling kits, is that of the norm?

My dealership is a BDS authorized dealer. They’ll install anything from a level to a 6” with Coilovers.

I had the dealer install the Rough Country leveling kit I bought directly from Rough Country. I got a set of 285/60/r20 Toyo Open Country AT II tires from them too. I felt that if something went wrong that was warranty related I’d be better off since the dealer did the kit.

I had the dealer install a 2.25” level kit when I bought
my 2017 as they said it would maintain my warranty on front end parts if they installed.
I currently have 22000 kms on the truck and it needs a new steering rack.
My son had a 2011 with a leveling kit and went through several steering racks. I figured by 2017 they must have it fixed by now....not impressed and I’m wondering if now I should remove the leveling kit.

My region sucks for this stuff. Mention installing anything aftermarket to dealers around here and they act like it's the most ridiculous thing they ever heard.

My dealer, Tri State Ford/Lincoln in Maryville MO installed my level kit. They would have even installed a lift kit if I had wanted.

Your're taking front end parts that are designed to push and pull horizontally and putting them in a bind by having them at an angle. Of course it wears stuff out.

Great price depends on what type of level. If it is hockey pucks, price isn't all that great. If it is a set of Bilsteins up front, then I agree with you.
