Default Leveling cause any issues?

i have a 2016 4x4 crew cab XLT stock blue jeans matallic with 18 inch wheels and 3.73 axle ratio. My son tells me I should level it but I wondered if that would alter the smooth drive, gas mileage, etc.? Looking to see if there is any known impact to leveling the truck. Thanks in advance!

Properly installed levels of 2.5" or lower will not cause any adverse effects. Gas mileage suffers from the taller tires that usually follow the addition of the leveling kit.

I have a 2" level with 25,000km of hard driving on logging roads and no issues. Only issue with levelling is you lose how ever high your level is in down travel

I drove with a 2" level for about 5 months and lost zero mpg. Added 34" tires about a month ago and lost around one mpg with them.

I didn't notice and big change in mpg and ride is still great. I went with a 2.5" but when I replace struts I will be dropping to a 2" to get a slight rake back.

You will have 0 issues just get it re-aligned as the toe might change a bit.

Remove the block from under the rear springs. No outta pocket expense. Some have needed an axle shim to rotate rear axle.

Use a quality shop, get the alignment done and you should be good. I really can't say if I lost mpg with the level because I put my tires on at the same time. I've lost about 1mpg overall. Go for it.
