Default Level options

I have 2016 FX4 and I’m scheduled for installation of a 2 inch front level kit. I’ve just been reading some related threads and it seems that some rake/slant remains after 2 inch level. So, I’m thinking of going with 2.5 inch (not planning on any modification to rear). But I’ve also read that “Over 2 inches increases mechanical wear and tear”. Is there anyone who has a 2.0 inch level who wishes they’d done 2.5 inch or visa versa?

2.5 is a little much. I would do a 2” level or a 4” full drop kit.

I went with a 3" Rough Country kit. I have no regrets or complaints at all. I'm glad I didn't just go with a spacer kit.

My Rancho Quick Level coilovers were at 2.1 and it's about as perfect as it gets. All depends on what you're trying to do. Just get it level or move the front end up to get bigger rubber? With the 2.0" level, you should be able to get 33,5" tires on the truck very easily.

I 100% agree. Before I bought my XLT, I thought, "hell, I'll just go with the level pucks and be done with it". Then after driving the thing and doing more research, improved ride quality is what I really wanted, so going with new coilovers and rear shocks were a better option, at least for me.

I've done 5100s on several trucks now and had many friends do the same. IMO, there isn't a better combination of quality, ride improvement, and price out there for leveling a truck.
