I can't justify changing out the current wheels and tires when they have plenty of life left.
You could be me...I told my wife that I needed new coilovers and tires and she just laughed and said, "You can get whatever tires you want... When your current ones are worn out." Personally I can't wait to start using this line in reference to her shoe collection.

Hahaha. Let us know how that works out for you. You could always tell her you're going to recoup cost by selling the used tires to one of the little tire shops that buy used tires.

Now I wonder what a set of the Wrangler Adventure ATs in 20-inch form with 22,000 miles would go for...not that I have any idea of that kind of shop nearby...

You're down there in Florida, should have one of the little mom and pop shops that speak very little English. There's tons of them over here, when I go to do my level I'll be trying to do the same, but mine will likely have less than 2,000 miles on 18" wrangler HT's

Ha! I'm in NE Florida, so such establishments are harder to come by, or at least it seems. Heck, even finding a shop that could/would install the spacers if I decide to was a task (well, that didn't want to charge $400+ (ehhmm, Ford dealer)

Yikes! $400 just for a spacer install?! That's insane!

That price seems more normal around DFW. I paid $620 OTD, which was the spacer, camber adjuster (whatever that thing is called to help align the truck), labor, alignment and taxes. I might have been able to get a better price, but this shop came highly recommended and they had rave reviews online. I took a shot and I was very please.

Yikes. I plan to do my own install (more than likely in my apartment complex parking lot) and then take it to get an alignment.

I tried that and failed miserably. I got everything apart and off the truck, but for whatever dumb reason, Ford pressed in the bolts on the lower part of the strut assembly. I couldn't get those out. Even if I had, I wouldn't have been able to get the strut assembly back in with the spacer because the lower bolts on the strut assembly wouldn't clear the lower control arm. It was a PITA! I did hear that a few people removed the lower control arm completely and was fine, but I didn't read that until I already paid the shop to do it. This would have been my 3rd or 4th level I've installed myself so I'm not exactly a noob, but this was a bit much.

Weird. The video that Stage 3 made seems easy enough... My last truck was a pain. I would lift it by the lower control arm, unbolt the tie rods, lower the frame onto jackstands, turn the spindle out of the way, and then could wiggle it out. Which from the video I saw is pretty much the same on these, but maybe not... I know I did see one that loosened the LCA.
