Don't see anything in that video that argues that semi-synthetic is a better choice than full synthetic. Every oil on the shelf meets API SP and almost all now meet API SQ. So what.

If the link doesn't work, go to 6:18 in the video.
This is the reason I use Motorcraft Synthetic Blend, as the manual recommends.
I have never used any other oil than the recommended synthetic blend by Motorcraft in my 2019 coyote 5.0 engine. After watching that video I'm thinking about switching to restore and protect.

I have been using Amsoil in all my vehicles for 2 decades and have never had an issue, even at 7,000 mile oil changes.

LOL watch the video from the beginning - the link lands you halfway through his discussion.

This guy knows his stuff. Been watching his videos for years.

I have no idea how you came to that conclusion from this video.

Apparently Restore & Protect is available at Valvoline-branded oil change joints. I may need to shop pricing.

500k mile wet belt too..... should calm some peoples nerves as long as you're not putting a bunch of snake oil additives in the engine case

My truck has 8,300 miles on it. I wonder if it will "restore and protect". Wally World has a lot of it.
