Default Led tail lights

I have a 16 xlt and the tailights leave alot to be desired. I like the oem tails but I'm not interested in spending $1k+ for tail lights ( give/take). I'm looking at lights that are red housing and close to factory looking. So far I've found the recon lights and spyder. Any other sets out there ? Or which out of those two are the best ?

I've had Spyders before, they were good units (on my 2010)

Might check my tails in my build thread HERE... Used LED in the stock light, eliminated the silver stripe. I dig them, simple and cheap...

I've had little luck finding any info or even pictures of either of these lights except the factory pictures. The recon reveiws are all over the place with alot saying they are junk. The spyder have a one year warranty and the recon is 90 days.

Anyone Have either of these tailights that can give some input ?

Two years since I got my Recon and no issues. I added F150LEDs.com reverse bulbs to replace the incandescent ones.

They actually light up red even though the camera somehow made that look different. I like that they kinda replicate the amber halo of my Raptor LED headlights.

I have the smoked Recon BLIS units and have not had any issues. Found that someone had backed into and cracked the driver tail light. The Recon set was as cheap as I could buy a single OEM driver tail light. I watched the forum, Marketplace, Craigslist, and fleabay for a while to try to find a cheap set or single driver side tail light without success.

I have the Spyder ones with blis and haven’t had any issues. I made my own plug and play harness to go from halogen to led. Happy with mine. Here’s a link to my review if you’re interested.

If you want I can get more pictures for you as well.

I found your thread and have been looking around at plug and play harness to make the blind spot tails work as I like the looks of the running lights better and they look alot closer to oem.

Thank yall and open to anymore reveiws anyone has.
