I am the proud owner of a 2016 Ford F150 Lariat 3.5 Ecoboost. I would like to replace the Halogen Headlights with LED Headlights. Purchased a Nova Series LED Projector Headlights after talking with a Sales Rep at American Truck who stated oh yes, these headlights will most definitely fit my truck. Well, that was a false statement, not only was it a sloppy fit, I could of made them fit, but the wiring was all wrong. The wiring on my headlights has one big plugin whereas the wiring on the Nova headlights has 3 plugins. I called the local Ford dealer and inquired as to make these new lights work does the truck have to be rewired and he said unless you want to spend big bucks and replace the dashboard that would be a big "NO". Cardid/Oracle sells all kinds of LED products but again will it fit my truck. Has anybody out there experienced this or has a suggestion or just plain plain tell me to "Forget about it".
My son put LEDs in his truck from Lasfit and they looked great and bright. So I bought some for my 2019 F150. They were a tight fit, but they look and work great. Oh the fog lights are also switchbacks. You have white fog light and yellow fog lights on the same bulb. Those work great also.( LD Plus Switchback 9145 9140 H10 LED Fog Light Flip Chip 60W 2 Modes|2Bulbs).
Yes I know my truck is dirty, but it's been cleaned since the pictures. LOL
I have seallight and aukee leds in my 18. Have had them almost a year, super bright. One of aukees went out but their customer service was very good.
They offered me another pair sent right away or full refund.

If the wiring on your factory headlight is one big plug then you have the factory LED headlights already. If you want to upgrade those you need to purchase lights that are advertised as replacements for factory LED headlights such as Morimoto XB LED. The Nova lights also replace factory LEDs but I don’t see that option on American Trucks site. If the ones you got look like this http://www.4x4truckleds.com/alpharex...dlights-black/ all you need to do is purchase the correct harness to adapt all those plugs to the one big plug. You may have the contact AlphaRex directly to purchase that.
EDIT: Found the harness on AlphaRex website. https://alpharexusa.com/product/17-2...v=f24485ae434a
Don’t take my word for it, but that should work if you got the headlights in thinking you got. If I was you I would attempt to contact American Trucks and see if they could send it to you.

Thanks...appreciate the quick response. So, what you are telling me the people I dealt with at American Trucks just want to make a sale and hope if it does not work I will take it to a custom shop to have them installed before I return them. What I am concerned about is Ford pretty much told me not to do it because if I damage the module or wiring it is expensive to find the problem.

No problem. I've never dealt with American Trucks personally so can't speak to their integrity. But if you told American Trucks your truck has halogen headlights then that's where this issue started. The lights they sent you work with halogen trucks but your truck has factory LED headlights, hence the different plugs. Ford probably didn't really understand what you were looking to achieve and assumed you were thinking about cutting factory wiring to make them work.
The adapter/harness I linked in my previous post just converts that one big plug on your truck to the smaller plugs that are on the Nova/halogen headlights. No cutting needed. It's the same concept that all factory LED replacements use.
FYI they're the same price direct from AlphaRex if you prefer to not deal with American Trucks anymore. https://alpharexusa.com/product/15-1...v=f24485ae434a make sure to select "With converter" so they'll send the big plug adapter
I have Morimoto XB Hybrid headlights and really like them. They were plug and play for the most part. Only thing extra I had to do was run the wire for the daytime running lights into the fusebox. No big deal. I believe Alpharex makes Nova headlights for factory halogen and factory LED equipped trucks, so maybe you just got the wrong set.

How do you like the sealughts they seem to have good reviews on Amazon. Looking for brighter output in my 2020 XLT with halogen housing
