The Philips Ultinon are the best bulbs period. They do use a cooling fan, they do not have ugly and messy heat fins. They efficiently use heat sinks that work flawlessly in the Las Vegas 120 heat. The beam pattern is a VERY sharp cutoff and the color is perfect. They are better than OEM quality and come with a warranty that likely will outlast the vehicle.
I have seen lots of posts about led bulbs for late model XLTs .But I see lots of people saying the aftermarket bulbs don't fit. I don't want to spend a bunch of money, so I am looking at kits in the $50 - $75 range. I also want to know if they will work with the drl option, as I use that all the time. Any insight on this?

Yes, mine is an 18. They use the same headlight and foglight bulbs. Philips however does not make the fog bulbs, so I used Sylvania Revos in the fogs. They match pretty closely. I dont think heads and fogs should match anyhow. The headlights should be bluer and fogs whiter as the fogs should be lower on the color spectrum.
