Default led headlight adjustment

I'm trying to adjust my headlights down a little bit cause leveled my truck. my problem is 1. I have no idea which direction is up or down, I assume clockwise would tilt them down but I could be wrong. my second problem is when I try to turn the passenger side it just skips the gears and doesn't actually turn. curious if anyone has actually tried to adjust them and give me some tips or maybe someone a little less dumb than I could tell me what I'm doing wrong

I was in the same situation as you. I think it was counter clockwise moved them down. Pulled into a wall and adjusted down. And now I have no more on coming traffic flashing me. It does take some turning, not the precise adjustment I thought it was.

I had the same issue. Keep turning and you'll see the light start to adjust. I thought the gear may have been stripped, it just took a few turns to see anything.

Since we are talking adjustment, what is that little "cog"? What does it do other than make clicking noises and become irritating?

just a heads up you guys.....you are turning a small nylon wheel of which the teeth point downwards.....
You turn it with a Philips #2 screwdriver..when I turned mine I thought it also wasn't adjusting (or skipping)
I think the key thing here is hold the screwdriver straight up & down & turn it....
If it turns hard or stiff you may have to blow it out after shooting WD40 etc. into it...
It shouldn't be that stiff to turn!!
