This was what I was going to do, or else just get some whiter halogen foglights that match better. I don't want to deal with the fans at all.

What benefit does the other kit give you over something like this? Seems this route is much easier.

Agreed. I may just buy DDM Tunning Canbus for headlights and get these for Fogs.

This kit Schmagagled used doesn't have fans:

Amazon.com: (Pack of 2) Z8 LED 5000 Lumen 40w Headlight Conversion Kit [2500 Lumen Each Bulb] Multiple Bulb Sizes Cree Xm L2 LED - Replaces Halogen & HID Bulbs - 5hl (9006(hb4)): Automotive Amazon.com: (Pack of 2) Z8 LED 5000 Lumen 40w Headlight Conversion Kit [2500 Lumen Each Bulb] Multiple Bulb Sizes Cree Xm L2 LED - Replaces Halogen & HID Bulbs - 5hl (9006(hb4)): Automotive

It uses copper heat dissipation coils to keep the LED's cool and makes them waterproof too. I PM'ed him about them and he said so far so good! I may go this route just because I keep hearing the LED replacement bulbs don't protrude light well and burn out quickly from heat.

I would try Philips Diamond Vision bulbs. I had a set in my car before I upgraded to LED fog lights. Philips Diamond Vision are white.

I have these
Amazon.com: Pair of 9145 9005 Projection Super Bright 30w 6000k White Fog DRL Light New 2014: Automotive Amazon.com: Pair of 9145 9005 Projection Super Bright 30w 6000k White Fog DRL Light New 2014: Automotive
and I was ok with them after install as I turned them on, checked the color, and that was that. I don't drive with them on much because for the most part it is completely unnecessary IMO. However, I did turn them on during a rainy night and I was unimpressed with the light pattern. It seems to throw light all over the place. I turn them on and I can see up in trees. But hey, I can also see the road a little better too.

Has anyone tried just a regular bulb just to get the color matching? Like this

Amazon.com: PIAA 15110 H10 (9145) Xtreme White Bulb: Automotive Amazon.com: PIAA 15110 H10 (9145) Xtreme White Bulb: Automotive

BoozeDaily, these seem like the simplest, cheapest option. When you say 'that was that' do you mean they match the headlights well? How are they holding up? Do they get hot or burn out?

Are you saying the light output sucks? because honestly I think the factory ones kinda suck too..

No one has done amber yet. Surprising as it's the only kelvin that will serve any purpose/functionality.
