Default LED Foglight Conversion

I'd like to thank dubsesd for bringing these lights to my attention. I wanted to create a thread that shows these lights in a little more detail....I believe this will be a popular conversion for people on the forum.

The lights can be found on amazon (for the best price).

Amazon Amazon

You want the 9005 HB3 bulb.

Install is very simple. Simple remove the 2 front screws in the wheel well to gain better access to the fog light. Twist out the old bulb, twist in the new one & hook up the conversion plug. I zip tied the conversion plug to the frame to keep it safe.

Below are some pics that show the vast difference between factory and the new LED.

Let me know if you have any questions!

Yes I do! For those of us that do not have the LED's, would you use the similar for high/lows as well?

I currently have HIDs that do not always fire (have to turn on/off to get them to fire). I want something similar to the fogs as headlights as well.

Thanks for the install tip. I'll definitely be doing this. They look so much better when they match the HID headlights.

My Bakflip cover will be arriving in the mail tomorrow. I think it's smarter to wait for my spray in bedliner before I install it.

not to change the subject do those headlights with the orange led around the assembly come standard or only on certain models? I wonder if you can get them separate? by the way the mod looks great

My F1 arrives tomorrow as well! I would say yes, wait for your spray in liner (if being done soon) before installing it....
