Default Leak from Under Dash??

Hey guys/gals...

Just got in my truck and noticed a puddle on my driver side floor mat. I just washed and vacuumed the thing two days ago and haven't moved it since, so there's no reason there should be any water inside the thing... However, it's been raining pretty much non-stop the past couple days, as well.

Based on the splatter, it looks like it's coming from under my dash. Has anyone experienced this type of issue before and, if so, what the hell was causing it? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. The truck is basically brand new so I'm miffed.

Thanks, in advance.

This is where it appears the water is dripping from

Do you have the panoramic roof? The drain line that runs through the B-pillar might have popped off .

I do have the pano roof. If the drain line runs through the B-pillar though, why would the leak be coming from under the dash? Do you mean the A-pillar?

Ah, interesting... I'll pop it off and see if that's what's happening. Thanks for the tip!

I had this leak and DONT have the pano roof...
got it fixed, was a trim piece not properly seated by the windshield or something, I think this is a somewhat ‘common’ issue.

Great to know - I'll just take the thing into the shop and let them figure it out. Gotta love being under warranty! Appreciate the help, all.

Had a leak in the same place in my 2015. It was from the front seal on the sunroof. The entire roof has to be replaced, because well just replacing the seal would be too logical. They do replace it with an updated unit with a different seal. Took two full days for the work at the dealer. So far no more leaks.

Yeah, it could be THREE things. One or more of the moonroof drains, moonroof/roof seal, or windshield leak at one or both upper corners (a void in the adhesive). If the truck has no moonroof, it has to be the windshield. I think I dodged the bullet on mine, but should have checked under the carpet when I did the tensioner recall a few days ago. Oh well. At least I don't have the roof seal one. The other 2 show up under the carpet, so harder to find unless the leak/rain is massive. Good luck.

Also great advice - Thank you! I’ve yet to have the tensioner recall done so I’ll just instruct them to check everywhere from which it could possibly be coming.

Much appreciated!
