Latch issues have me second guessing my order

I do appreciate your opinion and input, but I think this goes a little beyond excusing the issue because "all automakers" have issues. This is a problem that has spanned 4 model years... We're not talking about an inconvenient misfire from time to time or a navigation system that doesn't work right... this is the doors... if you can't get in, or even worse, stay in the car, what good is it?
Again, I'm hoping some 2018 owners can chime in on this and maybe we can determine whether this latest repair is going to finally solve the problem or not.

BadBoy4fun_wa, I get it and I hear your opinion. Thank you and I appreciate your input, can we not turn this into another one of your sounding board rant threads? You got your point across, you got your opinion in, you got your response posted. The more you hammer it home, over and over again in the same thread, the more you look like a scorned woman hell bent on destroying an X....

Read the pole here on the site. The real number was about 2/3 of us have issue in cold weather. It isn’t a small sample. My dealer here in WA in heat of original TSB had 20 waiting 3weeks later a few hundred. The recall affects how many vehicles?

I'd gamble it. Only a select few really have major issues - mine haven't been horrible. Now that it's "fixed" - will I sell before next winter when it is likely to pop up again?
Most likely - yes. But my F150 (that I also ordered) has every feature I want and was made for me. I can't stand the GM twins - like the RAM but not the crash test rating or rear seat area, so it's the F150 for me.
Again, people can harp on this and some have lemon lawed / traded their trucks. They've had significant issues. If mine had been much worse, I may have. But knowing 18's have this issue, I'll keep mine until the '19 model year or get a RAM.
I see your in NJ, how cold does it get there and for how long - that will play a big role in this.

Ricktwuhk was talking manufacturers, not dealers. The FORD dealer I deal with is excellent, as is the dealer for my wife's non ford.

I live in a climate very much so, I 'have' had the problem, once last winter and once this winter. Either time, I didn't have a problem with the latches, the drivers door would not unlock, I was able to unlock the passenger side and they worked shortly after.
Have always wondered why some are having much more problems than others? It can stay well below freezing for weeks at a time and I am not having a horrible time with the issue.
I agree this is serious, and am sincerely hoping Ford picks it up on this one.
My first Ford after three decades of Toyota's, so no 'fan-boy' here.

You say you'd gamble it, then in the same post mention you'll sell your truck before next winter, will wait to sell your truck until the 2019 MY and then maybe get a Ram.... LMAO
NJ gets cold, just like the rest of the NE. It's not Alaska or Minnesota, but it's comparable to the rest of the region. From December to March we can see temps down in the teens and its regularly well below freezing.

I average 30k miles per year - after much complaining last year Ford gave me a 5yr/75k PremiumCare warranty. I'm just at 50k miles right now, so 75k miles will be next winter. I have no interest in buying a new truck in winter (I get the front end wrapped in clear film and always do some customizing), so I prefer to buy when it's warm out.
So, as much as I like this truck the door locks are frustrating and it's built in the middle of the 2.7 TSB where motors have been getting replaced. No issues with that so far, but all signs point to I should sell before the warranty is up. I have built an '18 F150, but said hell no once I heard reports of the door locks again. Might as well take my chances with RAM once the new ones are out.
