Knocking noise from moonroof
#291
Yep, I have a noise coming from the windshield in the center of the dash. This area does not defrost completely either. I think the seal is bad or has crack somewhere. I also have an annoying creak in the Climate control trim area. Plastic on plastic type of creak. Driver door window/door has rub/rattle over bumps. Sometimes it sounds as if the door is coming off its hinges. I love the looks of these trucks and love the drivetrain, but the fit/finish is crap. I know real world testing shows all this, but I thought these trucks were tested a lot before they were built and sold. Frustrating.

Knocking noise
After taking mine to dealership in Texas they were still not able to fix the issue. The rattling does go away when the sunroof is popped up so I can do this with out having to open the entire sunroof to tolerate the noise for now. Since Ford has not owned up to the National issue with these vehicles I think we need to discuss a class action lawsuit. Any attorneys on these threads??

Has anyone tried to isolate the specific areas the knocking noise is coming from? I have not done it yet but was thinking about having my wife drive the truck with the dual panel exposed (liner in back position) so I could really apply pressure in certain areas to see if it stops.

I believe the seal between the two panels is too flimsy/thin.

I did go to my dealer last month and they tried to fix the problem.
As a result, the rattles still there occasionally. It happens (few times) over bumps only at speed around 30 to 45mph.
Then, the squeaking sound was not fixed and is always there (bumps or no bumps) @ speed around 1 to 30 mph. It is very noticeable from stop.
