Default Kicker sub mounting bracket issue

has anyone gotten the ford kicker sub and had issues with the bracket that clips into wall lining up?

doesnt make sense because the floor holes are set location so how it's not lining up is beyond me. I had to fight it to get the right clip in and it snapped and is fine now. The issue is the left clip. It's a good quarter inch off. I tried loosening bracket from sub (4 black screws) and got it to snap but it just pops itself back out and causes some serious rattle as it's just smacking against the rear cab wall.

again little perplexed because everything was supposed to be plug n play yet I've been fighting this bracket for a few weeks. It doesn't look bent or anything. My next attempt is going to be either bend it , keep the thing loose on the sub and put felt pads between it and the sub. Or cut the second clip off.

From looking around it seems i literally might be might be the only one with an issue

Maybe post some pictures of the unit and where it's off.

Mine didn't have any issues. One of the brackets was bent in transit, but once i got it all aligned it was good again.

ill try to get a few tomorrow. Mine doesn't seem bent it's like the holes and the bracket at a quarter inch off. It's so close that the left bracket clip for rear wall is scraping the right side of the hole. It's actually scraped down to metal from me wrestling it for a bit before I gave up

So went to take pictures and I guess my last attempt of unscrewing bracket from sub worked...i thought it popped out again.

Next question is is how much play does the sub have for you guys? Wiggle back and forth room if that makes sense. I think that might be the rattling I'm hearing.

also any issues with trying to flip seat up and lock it? Is it harder now than before or you don't notice it?
