Default Kicker keyLOC needed for the wpt1212 harness audio signal?

Does anyone know if a kicker keyloc will improve the sound if using the wpt1212 harness for my audio signal to a aftermarket amp to power a subwoofer? Or will running the wpt1212 harness with pac tr4 direct to the amp be suffice?

I would post your question in the stereo and audio section you'll get an answer.
