B&O sounds way below par than what I am use to. I have stock BOSE speakers in my Cadillac and they don't rattle like the F150 when you put the volume past 12.
Definitely the rear channel speakers sound like they are defective in the F150. (I guess all the good sound is allocated for the front passengers?).
I've decided to swap those flat rear "doors can" speakers out first so I can run in parallel and do my self KT (knowledge transfer).
Most likely the Audio Control D-5.1300 amp to start with an Axxess DSP T harness that way I can do my stereo in the following phases.
  • Phase 1: Amp tap with sub replacement (back sound dampening - soundskin)
  • Phase 2: Rear speakers with front harness tap (KT for wires and prep)
  • Phase 3: Tweeter replacements upgrade | tap new dsp/amp
  • Phase 4: Front doors (Sound dampening.)
  • Phase 5: Linkswell Gen 5 Radio & with new front camera integration.
  • Phase 6: Inboard mini computer add-on for remote surveillance and storage
Cant wait!! Cause this man needs his music sounding good while driving.

depends, plenty of great SQ cars out there with any brand gear. Install has to be geared towards optimal SQ.

Back in the days when I was in the lanes, see someone with 4 ported 12's and 4K watts, wondering why he doesn't have good sound quality....

Just to chime in here... I had B&O audio in my 15 Audi S4 and it was absolutely glorious. I ended up selling that car for more than I paid after putting 10k miles of smiles on it. Damn that thing was a quick car w/ a 6 speed manual. Its probably just a product of both Ford being cheap and putting too small speakers in a vehicle w/ as much open space as a truck cab has.
