Keyless code
@Toddman34...he only has one key
Not sure if it's the same as my 2010, but if you take the kick panel off on the passenger side, there's a box there with a sticker on it that has the 5-digit code. On mine, it was the number ending with an "L". Kind of difficult to read it where it's at (back side of that box), but if you focus on it a minute, you'll get it...or you could call your 17 y/o daughter out who has perfect vision to confirm what you already know it to be.
My local Ford dealer was going to charge me $75 to recover the code for me.

Note: You will need to have two programmed passive anti-theft keys for
this procedure.
To display the factory set code in the information display:
1. Insert a key into the ignition and turn the ignition on for a few
seconds.
2. Turn the ignition off and remove the key.
3. Insert the second key into the ignition and turn the ignition on.
The factory set code will display for a few seconds.
Note: The code may not display until after any other warning messages
first display.
My bad. Just noticed you have only 1 key/ fob.

The dealer should be able to get it for you. I think there should be a piece of paper in the owners manual folder that has it on it. Mine did. Unless the previous owner changed it. I changed mine to the same code that my grandfathers brand spanking new 1980 Lincoln town car was. For some reason that code has stuck in my head for 36 years, I don't think I will forget it!

I am pretty sure you can add a new code, but cannot change the factory code.
Oh wow, I didn't realize this didn't cancel the original code. That's kinda crappy for the people who buy these used. I suppose it's not like you can't get into one by breaking the window. Actually, I don't think I ever lock mine anyway lol save me from replacing a window lol
