I don't have much love for salesmen. I almost always know more than they do about the product they are selling. They deserve to earn a living and make some money, just not that much from me! I have also had some bad experiences form dealers, they are also making more money than they deserve in many cases. I have had experiences from them where they have not been truthful or honest. YMMV IMHO

Every year more expensive
These 10k dollar discounts seen like a good deal but these msrps keep increasing every year. I bought this truck a few weeks ago. It's a 15' XLT FX4 MSRP $46,305. I paid 35,200. Although $11k off sticker seems like a deal, this same truck my cousin bought in 2012 . And the MSRP was only $39,800. He got $11k off the sticker. The MSRP went up almost 7k in 3 years. Ford is making big money on these trucks. I hated paying over $35k for a truck I feel should go for $30k tops

There is a 302A XLT and there is a 502A Lariat.
However, that's why I posted asking if you were looking at a 2015 or 2016 as I was trying to HELP you.
For fun, I just ran a true car on my specific vehicle and options: Blue Flame 2015 SC 4x4 302A Tow. With the $4750 in rebates the average paid is $38,179 and the true car estimate is $37,868 in my area. I paid $34,510. So, not sure what you quoted....but whatever. As, I said, I was just trying to give you additional information.

It was actually $12k off. True car is showing a higher MSRP for some reason. But yeah, I'm happy with the deal. It was a special order, to boot.

For instance: http://solomonford.com/Brownsville/F...ruck/43819305/ and http://www.washingtonford.com/new-in...hor-packages-1 (Washington Ford isn't as good anymore, they seem to have sold off most of their 2015 XLT's).
So part of the process was if they couldn't match/beat, I would just travel down to pick it up or wait for a 2016 I liked.

Albany. However, I bought about an hour west of here. It helped that I had ads from Western PA (family lives there) with dealer ads > 10K off 2015 XLT's.
